I bought NBA 2K8, and the back of the box says it supports 1080p natively. Yet all I see is 720p on my Sony Bravia 1080p LCD TV.

What am I doing wrong???

Uncheck 720P and 1080i on your PS3 system menu. The graphics are 720P by design, but artificially bumps it to 1080P if you do what I just said. It won't look better than 720P (its natural resolution).

Are you sure it's scaled 1080P? I remember that NBA 2k7 was able to output true 1080P.

Uncheck what? 720p by design, are you kidding???

Oh, hell no.

Box says 1080p native, that's it (that's why I bought it!).

Why can't they just make it like Ninja Gaiden Sigma or Ridge Racer 7 (1080p outta-the-box, nothing to uncheck)?

The back of boxes don't state what is native to a game. They only state what resolutions the game supports. So, if a game supports 720p and 1080p, one of those would be native and the other would be a scaled option for a user's choice.

You bought a game based on its resolution? I hope that Bravia you have is big enough for it to make a rat's ass of difference.
