i have been reading this forum in the past couple months and after i read 70% of this topic. i finally pull the trigger on this PJ Panny AE2000.
I would like to know which kinda of projector mount i should be looking for. I'm located in Canada and there is not much store that will sell the PJ mount. I have see FS selling a Sanus VMPR1-03, since Canada don't sell this Panny 2000. i'm not sure it will fit propertly

However, there is not much infomation/guideline how to choose the right projector mount.

does anyone have recommendation? i have a bonus room approx 200 sq ft with 8 ft height celing.

your help will be much appreicate.

thx

I purchased this Mustang Universal mount from Canada Computers for my AE2000U.
http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=012965&cid=333.480.303

I was skeptical at such a low price and the 5" box it came in, but once assembled, it fit the Panny perfectly. It hands about 4" off the ceiling, which its good with my 7' ceiling height.

I don't know what your budget is but the mount in my opinion is very important. Maybe even more important than the projector if you plan on changing often.

Judging by what Jason and the forum members are saying, Chief seems to be a really good mount right now. You can pull the projector at any time without affecting the registration. They also seem to have full support for the future. When you upgrade or change, just swap parts rather than replace everything and have to drill and secure again. They also have horizontal shift parts that I like. Having said all of this, I don't even have their mount. I only wished I did back when I did my setup. But I didn't know about them.

If you go to their website, there is a drop-down list to match their mounts to your particular projector. They also have a Cdn site that list dealers in Canada.

I would hardly recommond FS for this kind of purchase. As you have already stated, you don't even know if it matches the Panny. There are much better specialized and custom shops around.

Just trying to help.

I have the same concern but have now decided to go for a projector elevator, more pricey for sure but better WAF and could potentially minimize lens shift use.
