I didn't see anything recent, so I am going to risk starting a new thread. (The related topic posts were all from last year...)
I am looking to get a new HD TV, probably an LCD 42". I have no idea where to start on models. I liked the Samsung due to the dual RF inouts. The LG has good quality ratings from consumer reports. The distance to the TV from the viewing area is about 10'. I also did not totally understand the QAM tuner. I am thinking it allows you to view over the air and subscription HD broadcasting. Though I have done some research into HD TV, the more I look around, the less I feel I know.
