Hi
I am going to replace my green c-element in my G90.
And while I have it on the floor, thought I should change the Glycol in the other tubes.
cinema mad member, is getting me some soon.
My question is if its 100% ethylene glycol do I water it down to 80%.
I found this PDF at the IEEE site.
Regards
Richard

Commercial crt cooling fluids are 80% ethylene glycol and 20% glycerin to make fluid refractive index to close what front glass and c element are.
20% water would make refractive index smaller.
Not sure how much this makes difference, since some are reported good results with 100% ethylene glycol and with 100% water.:D
I use 80% propylene glycol and 20% glycerin from pharmacy. Not so corrosive and poisonous...

I would say that the optical glycol I am getting you Richard is the same as sony OEM glycol and wont need to be touched,But I will check, I will talk to you tomorrow as I have recieved an email about the glycol....

Love this article good history.
There are different levels of Purity ..
MCM electronics has great deals on coolant of high grade. I get it at $4.00 from my savings catalog.
Do this. Call them and tell them you lost your sale catalog and they will find the sale price for you. :)
That being said if you mix water it might have made it better back then.
I would not mix a lot of water with your coolant however.
The water would have be be treated or distilled and no bacteria in it.
