I am trying to send all my sources via HDMI to my Barco thru the Onkyo 875 receiver. Other words Cable Box, DVD and PS3 use HDMI out to the Onkyo inputs and from Onkyo out HDMI to the Barco 808. Barco has only RGBYH connection. So heir is the question: How do I get Image covert so it will work?
I bout HD-Fury DVI to RGBYH, but I have no image coming in to projector. (The reason I have DVI on one end of my HDMI to DVI cable so I thought that HD- Fury will work, but somehow it has not). Can someone give me solution? I troubleshot my projector. I have no problem from laptop to see image. 35 feet HDMI to DVI Monster cable is band new. HD-Fury is brand new too. I tried to connect it straight from the sources of DVD or PS3. Still nothing.

Do you have the external power supply for the Fury? 35 feet is too long of a cable for a Fury without the add-on power supply.

Power Supply (wall plug): Available in US, Euro, and UK configurations (Hong Kong coming soon!). Required if the HDMI/DVI cable is longer than 5m/16' or if the source device is unable to supply adequate power.

so when you hooked up the Onkyo directly to an LCD you got a pic?
If not then check the Onkyo. Do you have to set the internal menu's to output HDMI? Often these consumer electronicswill default to component output.
Also do a search for Barco negative synch.

This might be too simple, but do you have your H and V cables from the Fury connected correctly to the pj?

That is a huge common mistake, remember our little freind Axelgraff from finland we went round and round with him and that is what it was.

reversed H + V usually gives a rolling and scrambled pic no? Sounds like he's not getting anything at all. I skimmed through the Fury Forum at Curt's and it seems like glitches with this little unit are not uncommon, especially with Barco's, even though a lot of people find it plug and play?

AthanasiosHe was from Sweden.

epetrovski,

Onkyo might give positive sync that 808 won't handle very well. Try your dvd -> fury -> 808.
If that helps, you need sync converter after fury. Sometimes port3 could work better with positive sync, it have internal sync converter.

At this moment I do not use Onkyo, trying just to get my signal. I use DVD to 2 feet HDMI to DVI cable that came with Fury to Barco via RGBYH connection. I did tried to play around with V and H, nothing. What is killing me is that I plug Fury to PC monitor and I have signal on the monitor. That eliminates theory of defected Fury. It must be something Barco not taking conversion from Fury

What is the distance from the fury to the projector? If that cable is too long you will need a driver amp in front of the fury to send the signal to the projector. Without a driver amp the fury needs to be connected with the short 6" cable that comes with it.

I JAST HAD A BRAKE THRU. I receive only low resolution signals. Fury is fine. I have signal on Barco but only 480i. If I send any other hire resolution to the Barco it displayed “no signal”. Is this a Barco problem or still my conversion?

I worked on a BArco 708 and a BArco 1209, relatively early version, and with a Toshiba A 35, everything worked fine on both sets to 1080i. THe customer with these sets didn't have the power supply, so there wasn't enough juice from the Toshiba to drive the Fury to 1080p.

Oh, but I just remembered we were using port 3 on the 1209 that likes positive sync. It might be a case that the Fury needs to be fed to port 3 instead of port 5. I'd order the SVGA to 9 pin cable. I neglected to mention that on the phone when you called this AM.

Cheers!
