So I've been playing Uncharted off and on since January. It's a nice break from COD4.

So yesterday I decide to put some time in to finally finish the game. I finally get past that level with the weird bad guys, had a hard time figuring out how to get passed them. I reach the last level and my freaking disc freezes up. I take it out, wipe it off and reload. Same crap... game hangs up on the intro of the level. I tried multiple times to get it to work and no dice. What a let down.

I guess I will see if they will exchange it at Best Buy. Hopefully they will.

Sorry to hear your game froze up, man, but it's most likely just a problem with the disc. Uncharted only froze up once on me (during the zombie level you just mentioned, curiously enough), but that was only after playing on my PS3 continuously for five or six hours. Once I reloaded, I never had another issue.

If it hasn't been too long since you bought it, I'm sure BB will allow you to exchange it for a good copy.

Check out the PS3 problems thread. I just posted about Uncharted locking up on me. Played through the whole game the first time with only one freeze early in game. I was going to replay it and it froze up on me and had some skipping in a cut scene.

Glad to see it is not only me getting some freezes in games, but still sucks for all us.

BTW, I am confident it's not my PS3. I played hours of COD4 yesterday without any problems. Also, this is the first and only issue I have had while playing Uncharted. I even tried to go back and play other levels yesterday, after finding the problem, and it worked great. I'm pretty sure the disk is screwed up.

I love the game so much I will probably buy a new one if I have to.

I was having some freezing issues with Uncharted starting around Chapter 10 or 11. At least in my case, one of two things helped: I moved my PS3 so its out in the open and I placed the PS3 in a vertical position instead of horizontal. I did both at the same time so I don't know which one really helped (I'd guess having it out in the open for more ventilation did the trick). This may have been unique to my situation, but prior to doing this Uncharted was unplayable for me once the freezing started (and the only game I ever had any trouble with). I have a 60gig PS3.
Things I tried that didn't work for me: exchanging the disc; going back to an earlier save; playing it on a different profile; reformatting the PS3 hard drive.

Um...I finished the game about 2 weeks after it came out, Sport.

And, since there is no mention of the subject anywhere on the box, and it's a pretty big twist, why spoil it?

You're obviously a lot cooler than some people since you don't want to ruin the game for others. I hope you get a copy that works for ya.

Hasn't froze on me.

Uncharted made my PS3 purchase worthwhile. I had so much fun with that game. I should play it again in hard.

They may exchange it for the same game at Best Buy.

Id say delete the game data and reinstall to see if it solves the issue.
