Was thinking of buying this game.

I went online about a week ago just for shits and giggles, and there is noticeably less people on, but still enough to get into a game rather quickly.

Lots of people playing, but as with any older game online, the people playing are mostly the hardcore fans and as such very very good.

I play every once in a while but am not very good at it. I prefer the single player mode as I feel better losing to computer AI than to someone who keeps sniping me from across the rooftops.

Jump on every once in awhile to give myself a COD4 break. Still a good amount of people playing, its still pretty quick to get into a game.

You won't have any problems finding games online.

Last time I logged on I saw people wearing funny clothes and new boots...It felt like I'd been away from a MMORPG for few months and came back to all new "loot" :)

I don't know if I can post this or not, but I just so happen to be selling this game.

If you are interested, check out eBay and do an advanced search and search for items by user: btnh4e

I am selling it because I have dial-up internet, and I cannot take advantage of online play. :(

I've only had this game for a matter of days too....

I tried playing online once. And I got my butt handed to me. It seemed that the second I'm visible to someone else, I'm instantly dead. I haven't gone back online since. haha.

And of course, after I say that I get my butt handed to me in Resistance, someone named Asshandler responds in this thread. That is totally a sign for me not to try going back online.

^^ Yeah, these online games really require you to devout large chunks of your life to them if you want to stand any hope of keeping up with the die hards and the naturally gifted. It's a pretty scary world out there for some of us! That's pretty much how it goes for any game online, actually.

I remember a few years ago I went and played some online Reversi/Othello...You know, the game with all the black and white circle pieces, and it's your goal to take over as much of the board as possible with your colour. Anyway, I signed up thinking it'd be nice to have some light-hearted fun, something casual, get a few wins, feel good about myself kind of thing. Oh, the simple joy of a good game of Othello. Sure. Turns out this site was basically made up of about 40 die hards who apparently did nothing all day but play Othello, talk about Othello, think about Othello in bed, and brush their teeth with Othello in the morning...All just to reach and master the 101 different strategies for complete Othello domination.

Lost my first three games badly. They weren't even close. The fourth game, I told myself, "Crap man, just slow down....think some of these moves out first...I can probably win the next one if I just play a little smarter..." The start of my fourth game, we're about 6 moves in, and the guy says to me, without even a hint of arrogance or just to be a jerk, "Ok, that was just a very bad move...I'm going to win in 30 moves, now." Without a word of a lie, people, it was literally 30 moves later that he won the game. He even had a name for the attack he unleashed upon me! (It sounded menacing, whatever it was...I think it was Japanese.) I checked out his record after the game, and it turns out he was something like 1134 - 56. Seeing this, did nothing to make me feel better about myself, unfortunately. So yeah, go into online gaming with a very thick skin about such things. There are crazy people out there who are just waiting to tell you how efficient they'll be wiping up the floor with you. And then they will. :o

Yeah, I tried this online one time and it was just no fun. It seemed like I got killed every five seconds-I was dead before I even saw somebody half the time.
