All the ones I've seen seem to only have RF and RCA Type Video outputs along with analog audio outputs. Component Out, S-video out, and Digital Audio Out would be nice, but am I just dreaming?

A CECB cannot have component outs (or any connection capable of HD video), otherwise it wouldn't be eligible for the coupon program. Same goes for audio, although I believe digital audio over a coax connection is allowed (don't quote me on that). But come on, most are too cheap to put an s-video jack on their boxes. So chances of getting a digital audio output on one are slim to none...

The government specs for the coupon program only allow RF, composite, and s-video outputs.

According to the site below, there are several boxes that have s-video and they can be purchased online with the coupon.

The only box I know to be currently available with S-video is the Channel Master CM-7000. (my initial comments are posted here (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=13776001#post13776001))

Digital Audio is not allowed, otherwise the CM-7000 would have it. There is a RCA jack "unused" which was designed for digital audio. I am hoping someone here will figure out how to hack it back in (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=13648174#post13648174) :D

The Apex I just bought from BB on the 16th has S-video and Pass-Through and is a CECB and has slightly better reception than the Digital Stream DTX9950 that was loaned to me.

I'm sure there will be (or is) a conversion box with all your dream options, but I don't think you'll find one that is coupon eligible.

I thought I remember reading at least one box might be able to be modified for digital audio out.

Yes, I've seen a couple of spec sheets for the TB150HH9 claiming it has digital audio. That doesn't prove anything, because the original specs for the CM-7000 said the same thing. The NTIA made CM take the digital audio off to get approval for the coupon program.

Also, I think you'll find the TB150HH9 is rather hard to come by. It's possible you'll find a pre-production sample or two on eBay, but I'm pretty sure if this box ever makes it into the inventories of retailers who take coupons, we'll find the digital audio has disappeared just as with the CM-7000.
