I'm having my plasma and surround sound set up later this week. Will be using a FIOS HD DVR box. I'm getting the Pioneer 5010 plasma and using a Denon receiver for surround sound. My question is does the audio setting on the cable box affect surround sound? I can choose stereo or surround sound on the cable box.

So no one has a Fios Cable box and Surround sound?? What setting do you guys have it on?

The settings are for the analog output.

You should be using optical or HDMI to your Denon receiver. The audio settings do not affect those outputs.
