Okay Im currently on a mac and using Visual Hub which is amazing.
I went to convert some large .ts files to wmv so i can play them on my xbox 360 and my lap top but after the conversion there was no video. like its corrupt or something.
the files are about 6gigs each. in mplayer it just does nothing, and in quicktime is opens a white screen.
what is the correct method in converting .ts to wmv?

I'm guessing that might be the BD+ copy protection?

.ts is normally a transport stream. I thought that this was only used for TV HD broadcasts.
I thought that Blu-ray used it's own extensions.
well the full folder contains 2 .ts files (3-4gig each) and a bunch of .par files that are about 1-3 megs each.
i like smelly cats, now that i look at the folder name there is no mention of blue ray.
I was using visual hub to convert to wmv.... do you think ill have better luck converting to mpeg-2? or maybe even avi?

Most probably this is a satellite/cable MPEG-2 recording. Open the file in VideoReDo and see what it says.

Why don't you contact the studios directly? I'm sure they could be of assistance. Don't forget to give them your name and address.

anyone had any luck?I don't use Macs, don't know how to do it on that platform (and whether it can be done). You can ask in the Mac forum.
If you have access to a Windows PC, you can try Microsoft latest Expression Encoder
http://www.microsoft.com/expression/
There are other tools to do that. You can start reading here
