OK here's the situation, I have COD4, GHIII, OB, and FIFA 08. I basically don't play OB or FIFA so I was going to trade them in for a new game. What's out there right now that's worth it? I'm assuming that if I wait for MGS4, they won't be worth as much as now. Any good games out there worth it?

I believe you can get some good deals on some of the release titles if you haven't owned them already: Resistance, Motorstorm.

Other titles to look at: MLB08 the show, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank

I don't know but to me MGS4 is off in the distance, I'm in the here and now.

Depends on the type of game your looking for.

FPS: Try the new Rainbow 6, that seems to be getting lots of hype
Online/multiplayer: Warhawk, so freakin' addictive...
Single Player campaign: Heavenly Sword was fun (but probably better as a rental), Lair (I'm one of the few who enjoyed it), or Uncharted.

Upcoming: Resistance 2, MGS4, and GT Prologue.

If you aren't pressed for time, list them on craigslist and get twice the money GS will give you.

ebay has been good to me, well except for the last guy was a deadbeat bidder. Gently used games normally sell for $10 less then new and if you buy and resell with listing fees and shipping it normally costs $5 for the "rental"

Thanks guys, guess I'll avoid Gamestop and try Ebay or CL. For some reason, none of the games out now seem to appeal to me and R6V2 seems to similar to COD4. Guess I'll sell now and get MGS4 when it comes out.

On another note, is there a list somewhere of all the upcoming games and release dates?

Check gamefaqs.com they usually have pretty reliable release dates. Also you should try www.cheapassgamer.com it's a great website where you can find deals but the best part is they have a strong trading community where you have a similar reputation system to ebay. People trade and sell games all the time, I've traded about 8 different times and have always had a good experience.

You can check out my list here if you want:

I will never trade games in-store again. Craigslist is definitely the way to go, especially if you can trade titles with someone.

I got COD4 from best buy for $32, then sold it on Craigslist for $40 when I was done playing with it.

I've said this before, but Goozex.com is a great trading site. I've had very good results so far.

Don't ever trade in to gamestop. They will eat your heart. I'm serous . I've been an employee there since 99 worked my way up to the manager postion while in college and now i'm part time (once or twice a week) since i got my real job. They screw you over coming and going .

You can trade them in for credit on a gift card and then use the card when MGS comes out. No need to buy a game you do not want now. Or go to your local craigslist and get cash.

and R6V2 seems to similar to COD4.

I couldn't disagree more.

On the subject of trades, I've found that Play N Trade offers higher value than Gamestop. If you have one in your area.

I get my games on amazon used, ebay or craigslist. Or on sale at frys or bestbuy.

Blockbuster gave me $36 for Unreal III and $35 for Motorstorm...lol. They also offered me $35 for Assassins Creed but I didn't beat it yet so I'll wait on that one. Gamestop would have been half of that.
