Since installing Leopard's graphics update, I have lost the the ability to use switchresx custom setting on my Mac Mini, which is hooked up via DVI to my Sony SXRD. I have successfully used switchres for a long time with no problems, and have not changed the custom settings.

When I select a custom resolution, the screen turns mostly black with a few rectangles of other colors. If I select a Mac standard resolution for my display, the pic is fine.

While I cannot be certain Leopard graphics update caused the problem as It could be coincidence, I'm wondering if anyone else has had a problem.

I also tried Displayconfigx and had the same problems.

Any ideas?

Mark

No ideas, cuz I'm not much of a techie, but DisplayConfigX works fine on my mini DVI->HDMI KDS-R60XBR1 with Leopard. Still using the BatCave's instructions.

Switchresx uses APE, make sure you are using the latest Leopard compatible one. If you have another user account set up try running it in there and see what happens. You might need to delete your old prefs and restart it.
