The titles says it all.
I heard the Sony is grainy at 1080p. Judged solely on picture quality, which one is better?

Kage 03-11-08, 07:29 PM I had the Sony DVP-NS77H for about 2 months before I sold it, tried the Pioneer DV-400V, and currently own the Oppo DV-980H. Here is my list have picture quality rankings when I compared the three dvd players. 1. Oppo DV-980H - Excellent picture with a little to no grain. 2. Sony DVP-NS77H - Good picture quality with less grain than the Pioneer DV-400V. 3. Pioneer DV-400V - had a more grainy and soft picture than the Sony DVP-NS77H. Look past picture quality and focus more on other features. That should help you narrow it down. I do like the 980H myself. superdude1 03-12-08, 01:53 PM What about the Philips 5982? How is the grain with 1080p. I've been hearing that all mediatek chip players are similar and am wondering if I should shell out the extra bucks for a more expensive player. I was looking at the three models Kage listed as a replacement/upgrade of the Philips. |
