We prewired our home when it was built and now it's time to purchase a whole house stereo system. We would appreciate input and comments on the 3 systems proposed to us.
System 1--Whole house stereo consists of Klipsch CDT2650C in ceiling speakers with a Yamaha RXV1800 receiver, Niles sliding volume control SVC100RW. Surround system coupled with the Yamaha rec. as above and Klipsch Icons LX23B front speakers with Klipsch CDT5800C in ceiling speakers, Klipsch RPW10blk subwoofer.
System 2--Whole house stereo consists of Klipsch 6.5 inch in ceiling round speakers with silk dome tweeters (no model number), ZON ZAC60 in wall control modules, ZON router module. Surround system has a New Castle R771 surround sound receiver, Klipsch RC-10 center channel speaker, Klipsch RF-10 tower speakers, Klipsch RW-8 subwoofer and Klipsch 8 inch round speakers with directional silk dome tweeters.
System 3-- Whole house stereo consists of Paradigm speakers throughout model AMS-150R, 16 channel amp. Surround sound system uses our current Onkyo receiver, adding new Paradigm CC-290 center channel speaker and Paradigm CS-60R-30 in ceiling speakers and a Paradigm PDR-8 subwoofer.
This is the first system of this kind we have purchased so we would appreciate input on comparison of the components,i.e. quality and reliability. We are open to suggestions on other brands of equipment in the same price range.
