That -60 is not a cheat, but a glitch in the game. A lot of people are having ridiculous score on 9 hole or 18 hole. I have some -20 -22 on 9h and -48 -40 on 18. Nobody know why this happen to some people and not others. It really suck when you are trying the beat your best and because of this bug u cant never beat it. Oh and when you get this, you also get albatross on almost every hole, i got albatross on par 3.... damn i'm good! Seriously guys stop with the cheating thing... there is none. That called practice:cool:

I figured it was a glitch. Im not saying there is or isnt cheating going on...but you can see how a "glitch" that allows one to get an Albatross on a par three could be consider a cheat by those who dont know about the glitch. Especially if it's not happening to them, and the see other players hole after hole knocking them out of the park...so to speak.

I should be on over the weekend if anyone wants to practice glitching. Maybe we could do one of those special rules, like Glitch +2 or something. Liven it up a little. :cool:

First of all, yes im french canadian so cut me some slack guys. Second, the reason i said stop with the cheating. That was directed to the people who are saying that people are cheating in this game with score of -50. Those are not real score, those are glitch and by glitch i dont mean you actually get an albatross on a par 3. Just that when you look are your score sheet it would show a star like if you had an albatross. You cant boost your score in a game, those score appear at random after a game. I've notice most of them have been playin Warhawk again. I guess the new expansion and trophy patch pulled them back in. I still play HSG. But between GT5P (New Logitech Wheel) and Battlefield, My golf time is limited. Im sure I'll have more gaming time once the weather turns.

Well, I ended up making it to G0 anyway. I really don't have the skill to compete at G0 and don't think I ever will. It's nice being able to at least have a chance in the G1 tournies but seeing the podium on G0 simply won't happen.

Pessimistic? Maybe... we'll see how it goes.

Thats been my biggest problem. So I've pretty much given up on ranking up in the Online tourney's..It's always something with online play.:rolleyes:

My common theme seems to be "one bad hole" :mad:. I am just tearing it up and then, for some reason, on at least one hole I go in the sh!ter and hit bogey (birdy everything else) :mad:. That seems to be all it takes to drop from 1 or 2 to 4 or 5th place :(.

So I have 3 fourth place places now. How many do you need to get to g2 :confused:

G3's typically have more participation than G2's, so you might just be trying at the wrong time of day.

I think you'll find G2 tournies get the min. # of participants more often than the G3s. Too many noobs don't understand how to change rooms and/or don't realize GF offers no prizes. But by the time someone graduates to G2, all of that stuff is figured out.

BD, your doing the challenges, right? Just keep at it. That is how you open all the courses (well, at least that is how I did :confused:).

I'm not sure, but I think it has something to do with getting the "Standard Member: X Course" card when you get to choose one of six items as a prize for winning a challenge. I noticed I couldn't play a certain course online, but after getting that card I could. Of course it could have just been coincidence that I had fulfilled a pre-req... :D

Aletuner is right, you "unlock" the course for MP by winning the card in the single player mode.

Also, what the Hell are all the updates? It's taking forever to update. I know there are a couple people here who got it through Amazon too. FYI, you have to go to online play for it to update.

I initially didn't like the advanced shot mode but then I changed my mind and that's what I use now. Change your camera angle to get a more precise view for power. I believe advanced shot mode actually gives you more distance too. It just feels more fun and a little more authentic to me.

I go old school. I have no accuracy using advanced shots so I can't get super spin shots to work.

no, they added a bunch of new apparel to buy in the PS store... they had to patch the game for it like they did with kratos. it's an annoyingly long update.

Man, you got your gold box copy already? Amazon is saying mine won't even ship until after the 20th...

The updating system really is horrible. It takes literally 30 minutes to patch the game as it downloads and installs each individual file separately.

I love the advanced shot. It does seem to give you more distance, but you do give up some accuracy on shorter shots.

Unless you were doing multiple updates at once I don't know why it would take that long. The last update for me only took 2 minutes, really, cause I timed it. They were just installing all the costume bundles. 30 minutes seems unreal. I live in the midwest in a low traffic area but still it shouldn't be THAT different.

I agree with you here. If you are just now getting into HSG, Then you are getting all the updates, The New course, Charaters..etc they are all downloaded in the update, once you pay for them in the PS store, all you are doing is buying the unlock code, the content has already been downloaded.

I guess in high velocity bowling you don't download anything until you actually buy a new character or ball then. When I play people online in HVB, sometimes they are invisible and the ball is a generic ball with a HVB label...i'm assuming the other people are using DLC that I haven't yet purchased.

After purchasing him have you connected to the online server yet? If not you need to do so at least once. If you have done that then are you sure you are moving all the way to the right on the expert tier of characters? It is one of those 2 things.

Lot of people playing Minna. It is up and down. If you get on around 5 to 7 pm central time there is the usual 125 to 175 people on. I played in a few G0 tournies in the last week with 30+ people. A lot of scrubs but numbers none the less. Last night was the deadest I have ever seen it. Me and Dre played some matches with voice chat and I kid you not, there was 5 people including us in lobby 1 from around 11:30pm to 1:00 am. It was a MORGUE. The late night tournies simply don't fill anymore unless it is a Saturday night, and sometimes Friday night. During the week, forget about it.

Just picked up this game last week. I've followed the series for a while, but never bought a game. Always been content with just playing the demos. Coming over from Tiger Woods these controls take some getting used to but I can see there's a lot of depth to the game.

Just recently they added voice chat which is maybe why I was holding out for so long. Oh, and the online update definitely was a tad bit long. I had to let it run over night as I started it a bit late and when I saw the 1/935 I was suprised. I haven't had a lot of time testing things out, but does online voice chat work with more than two people? Voice chat with two players seems to work fine in Match play, but I was wondering if it works in 8 player tournaments?

I've been enjoying the game the past few nights and it's really a fun and challenging alternative to Tiger Woods. To bad you can't play with a created character, but I guess the series never really been about that.

Is there any way to change the camera angle when watching your shot right after you hit the ball? I would prefer a dif angle then the one it gives me most of the time.

I think it's the toughest one, for agressive players like me, there is so many hazards on each whole I end up posting at least a double bogey each round. It's better than the austrailia course, definitly worth $5.
