I have all my DVD's ripped and stored on a windows server. No compression but I do strip out all the unnecessary audio tracks and just keep one. If there is a DTS track on the DVD then that's all I kept on the server...

I have a MacBookPro but it seems that Apples DVD player will not decode the DTS audio to stereo. I guess it would work if I hooked it up to DTS decoding amp, but I don't want to do that - I just wanted to have a mobile player for the DVD's on the network.

Anyway get Apples DVD player to output stereo from DTS soundtracks? If not is there a 3rd party DVD player app that would do it?

Apple's DVD player won't decode DTS but it does pass it through so the receiver can decode it. Doesn't help if you're watching on the laptop on a plane or don't use a receiver, but for use with a receiver works great.

Well I can get the software at that link to play back DTS VOB files downmixed into stereo. However I'm finding the software hard to figure out... how can I make it play video_ts.ifo files? How do you build a library? I guess a better question is: Is there any documentation online - the forums are great for bits and pieces of information, but a 'how this works and how you set it up guide' would be great.
