So I decided to wait till next round lamp replacement to buy a new snazzy 1080p pj.

I have a rebadged Dila JVC G15 (Dukane 9015) and ordered lamp #456-205 per Dukane. I received a lamp with with internal product #BHL5002. My old lamp is BHL5001. I googled both internal product numbers and I consistantly get the 5002 being used on the 1000 lumens PJ, and the 5001 on the 1500 lumen pj. I get concerned and call back the outfit who sold me the lamp. He calls his distributor to reconfirm and they state that what they sent me is part number 456-205 and the difference in lumens has to do with the projector being able to resolve more lumens from the same lamp. Is this possible?? I'm feeling like I was sent a lamp for the lower 1000 lumen PJ.

Appreciate anybody's help.

I think they are all pretty much the same. Those cermax lamps do have different wattage ratings but I personally believe they are all the same 500 watt versions. The output is determined by the power that is fed it so this is likely what's going on. The different model numbers are only to protect markets and and proclaim proprietary product.

This is speculation on my part but the evidence I've seen pretty much indicates this. The 400 watt G10 bulbs fit and work in the G11, G15, 1500, G20 etc and the 500 watt G20 bulbs fit and work in all the others. As far as I'm concerned they are all basically the same projector.
