So I just popped ID4 into my PS3 and all I get are the subwoofers rumbling. I tried a few scenes and there is absolutely no other audio. Went to "settings" and tried to choose another audio format, but the only english option was already selected.

Anybody seen this issue? I'll just return it to amazon if it's an isolated defect, but I'd like to know beforehand.

No problems with my copy. My review should go online soon.

Greetings,

Same here. No problems played back through the PS3, Panasonic BD30 or the Samsung 1400.

I should be getting my copy tomorrow from Amazon, so I'll let you know my experience. I'm also using a PS3...

What audio processor are you using, and how is it connected to the PS3?

I have the new Integra DTC 9.8. And I've watched many Fox titles on this set-up including The Simpsons, Fantastic Four, Die Hard, etc. I've already requested a replacement copy from amazon. Figures -- the one i wanted to check out the most I have to wait for a new copy. :(

OK, something funky is definitely up with Fox discs on my set-up. I got the exact same problem with i, Robot as well. Obviously it's a problem with DTS HD-Master audio. Am I supposed to have the PS3 BD playback settings on Linear PCM or Bitstream? I've had it on PCM and have gotten the full lossless sound with everything else, but these 2 films are doing nothing but rumbling the subs.

PS3 will neither decode DTS HD MA (yet!), nor bitstream it.

I've run decoded to MPCM DTS HD MA on both ID4 and I, Robot out of my Denon 3800 without any problems.

I'm also curious as to what the problem was so others don't run into the same situation.

Do you realize that the PS3 cannot decode DTS HD MA?

Tried to play "ID" on my PS3 yesterday, with the latest firmware, and it freezes up the player. I tried a soft reboot (turned off the player at the rear as the front power light just does a steady blink) and the same thing happened again. Anybody else having a similar problem?

Play fine with my PS3 and many BD players I owned.I think you may pick a flaw disc cause ID4 BD released a long time ago and that time I did'nt update with the lastest FW.
