The german chaps at Cine4Home.de have tested the TW2000 (1080UB in the US). They measured the native contrast rate in calibrated mode to be 3400:1 at wide angle, and 4400:1 at tele. Now, that explains why it has good blacks. :)
The numbers for the Z2000, measured by the same people, was 882:1/1374:1with correct colours.
They measured the PT-AE2000 to 1650:1/2050:1, again calibrated.
Amazing how much difference there can be with the same panels...
