I see a lot of people updating there DVD Libraries with Blu-Ray. I have a hard time updating mine collection unless I can find myself re-watching this movie over and over. The problem I am having, is most of the newer movies are just ok, and I find it hard to pay $24.95 + for a movie I might watch once or twice. Example "Hitman" action flick but a lot of my friends that saw it in the Theater said rent it.. Just wondering how other people are going about updating? Also the prices need to come down to $24.95 on the high range of the spectrum to $15.95 low end would be nice..

This is literally the millionth thread about this topic. It probably makes sense to post in one of those many many threads rather than starting a new one.

I promised myself I would be more particular this time around, but I find myself buying everything I owned on DVD on either Blu-Ray or HD DVD. I think it's due to the fact that there's so little to choose from -- the studios know what they're doing...hold back the must-have films so we rummage through the mediocre.

I agree with Bob Black. I find myself tempted and sometimes buying titles I wouldn't watch more than once. In general I tell myself to only buy new titles though aside from some of my favorites, but still like I said sometimes I do get tempted.

More temptation, Fox just dropped the prices on catalog titles! Aggh, tempted to buy Planet of the Apes for $14.99 at amazon!!

I haven't duplicated what I have on DVD on Blu except very few. Price is the main reason and the fact that most of my 600+ titles aren't even available and may not be for years, if ever.
