I feel that the studios should put all BR movies out in 7.1 Lossess audio and not 5.1 lossless. They have the technology and ability so do it. If smaller studios like Lionsgait can can do 7.1 why can't Warner, Fox, and Disney. I think they might after a while for a double dip. Just my rant.

Not just Lionsgate.
New Line Cinema has 7.1 DTS-MA on every Blu-ray title so far.
I even bought Rush Hour 3 (a total turd of a movie) just to experience the 7.1 DTS-MA audio.
I'll end up selling it on Ebay, once I view it a couple more times...

I remember being interested when a few titles reached 6.1 on SD, but it was hardly an excuse to believe it would be any kind of standard.
I have the equipment, but gave up on the RS after dust settled on the speakers.
Should be interesting to see if studios change their attitude for this extended platform. Other than action/scifi projects, there's little need for anything more than the 4/5 surround.
People do love plugging in more speakers, so I wouldn't argue with those who like to toy with the audio.
