Well i just bought a Toshiba 37HL17 720p but accepts 1080i from costco and I love the picture. But i wanted to get a nice dvd player to go with it.
I currently have a Denon DVM 1815 dvd player.

I know nothing about any of the new DVD players. I know I paid good money for the Denon dvd player..but will one of these new upconvertiving dvd players give me a better picture quality that what I already have?

If they will...what brands should I be looking at. I'd like to stay under $130 if possible.

Thanks
Rocky

For your set the best resolution is 720 - the native resolution of the TV. Anything else will have to be scaled again by the TV so you will lose something in translation. If you can still find one (unlikely) you can get a
Toshiba HD-Ax that will upconvert and as a bonus play HD discs. I just bought an HD-D3 at Sams for $68. Try CC as they just started a trade-in program, you may be able to pick up one on the cheap.
