So I got the 5-disc edition of Blade Runner on Blue Ray, and I have been hearing audio clipping at a few specific scenes during the movie. This occurs both in the DDTrueHD soundtrack and the DD5.1. I also checked 2 of the other versions of the film and the clipping occurs at exactly the same place:

1. When Deckard is chasing Zhora through the streets, right before he shoots her there is a sound of a motor revving, it sort of sounds like a motorcycle engine..

2. During the final "tears in rain" speech of Roy before he dies, the audio clips a couple times..

I am running this through a PS3 into a Denon 3808 via HDMI..

This is a big bummer for me as this is one of my favorite movies of all time... :(

Has anyone else noticed this?

Nope. Though I'm running optical to an Onkyo 601.

Edit: Nevermind, I forgot I was suckered into the HD DVD version. Stupid common sense.

Sounds like a bad disc. Return it if you can.

this was really starting to piss me off so i bought a brand new copy of the blade runner blue ray and the clipping is still there in the exact same spots..

i also dusted off my original dvd copy of the directors cut which i have had for years, and the clipping is there as well....

looks like this problem is in the source material fellas, i just never had a high enough resolution system to hear it.. oh well, at least i know that its not my components.
