Hi! I heard over at Fatwallet that this is the place to go for AV questions. :)
I have a panasonic DvD-F65 (few years old) and a newer Pioneer Vsx-517 receiver that I recently got a killer deal on. I can not figure out how to get optical digital sound of my dvd player. The manual is no help to me. I assume there is a setting in the dvd controls that will enable the optical digital output. I can't find the "digital setup" that the manual states. I'm kind of a av newbie. My receiver is set up to receive the digital in. The little light in the cable is on. If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it.
