Room is 13'8" by 15'8". 10' tall ceiling but 8" in back because roof is slanted for about 2 feet. Dedicated media room (no windows). I have put two layers of couches. Person sitting in first layer will have their eyes about 7'6" away from wall. No speakers installed yet but 5.1 planned.

Can't decide between a projector, plasma, lcd, or dlp. Space crunch is biggest concern. What's the biggest size screen I can do with the little space that I have between front row viewed and the wall? I would like the biggest reasonable screen possible without sacrificing viewing quality.

For speakers, I plan to do inwall because I like a clean look. Haven't made up my mind but the Polk RCxxx seem good enough.

Budget is tight but I think $5,000 should cover it.

Go to Projector central and you can pick a projector and can pick how fare you are from the screen and they will tell you how big you can go. If you want a projector?

Here is a link I put in the projector that I use for my HT.

I'm sorry but all I see on Projector Central is throw distance. I'm looking for more of a suggestion based on experience of what the biggest screen I can do without going overboard. I guess I will go to Tweeter or Best Buy and pull up a chair in front of different TVs and see what screen size is best.

If you adjust the throw distance side bar and look at the box at the top in Yellow it will give you the recomended seating distance for that projector.
