Presently using a Panny DVD player about 3-4 years old.....connected to a 4065 Sammy using component.
Have at another home 4661 Sammy with Tosh HD DVD (I know..I know) that does a decent job with regular DVD's and of course looks great with HD DVD's.
My question concerns the older Panny.
Until BR players come down in price, would upgrading to a new DVD player and connecting using HDMI improve PQ or is my 4065 Sammy already doing the best job on the DVD using the Panny? The Panny was originally about $125-$150 and if there are any suggestions for a new player, I would like to keep the price around $150 or under. Using Sammy speakers, so no SRS.
Or I could pick up a Tosh HD-A3 or Tosh HD-A30 pretty cheap, even though most would be SD DVD's.
Really open to suggestions, but they would have to improve PQ>
Hopefully this is clear...........:-)
Thanks.
