Would be nice to see the Crue in HD, but not sure if it's worth it to see Vince sing every other word...

I guess i missed out on something. What do you mean?

I have one or 2 of their older DVD's and liked it.

I seen this on HDNet awhile back and it sucked. The sound was horrible. The footage of bands looked like a handheld 8mm camera. Very poor production.

I seen the Crew live while they were touring for Carnival Of Sins and you're 100% correct. I don't know whether his voice was giving out or if he had forgotten the words but Vince was terrible. One of the worst shows I've ever seen. I would never buy what I seen live on blu!

Tommy was sorta fun though. He brought energy to an otherwise dead show.

Lewd Crued and Tattooed has been available in HD for quite a few years. Good (D-Theater) tape that looks great. And they sound good, actually.

When I saw him on the same tour he was fine - but I don't dispute that when you saw him he was doing every other word because in a concert DVD they released a few years ago (the tour they did without Tommy - they had a girl playing the drums), he was singing every third word and was obviously way out of shape.

If this is from the same Carnival of Sins show that is already out on DVD, he sounds OK, not quite the Vince of 1990, but still Ok nonetheless.

fwiw: you can watch a 37 minute SD version right now on Directv on Demand if you want to see how he sounds.

Vince has been doing this for years now. Well see how he does on this next tour.

Has the audio specs on Carnival Of Sins been released? I would love to have an uncompressed 5.1 or Dolby TrueHD mix.

Not quite. The look is purly intentional. Scrathes & burns etc to give it an old-fashioned look. Every 10 minutes or so they stray from that to reveal an unreal 'you are there' colorful picture. I wish there was an option to see the whole show this way, but I'm ok with it as is. The audio on HDNET may have been less than stellar, compressed to death, but the DTS track on the standard DVD is a monster. Next-gen audio should be amazing.

Very disappointed with Motley.... Its only Dolby Digital!
PQ was better than I thought it would be.

This is REALLY a crappy move. What's up, Warner? A killer DTS track on the standard DVD and straight DD on the hi-def version?
Logic being?? I didn't buy this for pic quality, because of the stylized way it was shot, so for me it was all about having this show in uncompressed audio. Huge disappointment.

Warner screws over Ozzy too!

Like I said in my previous post, I picked up Carnival of Sins and was extremely disappointed with the audio. The more lossless/uncompressed you hear, the more you hate lossy.

I didn't even think to wait and check if it would have lossless (doesn't even say anything on the back cover!), just assumed it would... since its a concert and all!
Had I known Warner was involved in some way, I would of waited for the specs.

I was excited for the Ozzfest one until I saw that horrible lineup.

I'll end up buying it just for the Black Sabbath songs. :( I'd pay the same price for just those few songs and have all the others removed.

I'am very dissapointed on Carnival of Sins. I have regular dvds that sounded better. Picture is very good but you expect good sound, I mean come on its a concert in hd, 0ral Fixation is a good example of good audio and video.
