Uncompressed audio has been part of HDMI for a long time. BIslander 03-21-08, 02:38 AM The BD10a will also decode a TrueHD tracks and send it as uncompressed PCM over HDMI to your receiver. The BD10a does not have a dts-MA decoder and, if you select one of those tracks, it will process the DTS core track instead. rio203 03-21-08, 11:49 AM good because i've only had this avr for about i year and i did not want to buy a new one thay cost to much for that. my thing is i think we are being sucked in by thinking we have to go out and buy a new avr just to get the new auido format.when you can by a blu-ray player that can do all the decodeing like the one that is comeing out the panasoinc bd 50 BIslander 03-21-08, 12:08 PM good because i've only had this avr for about i year and i did not want to buy a new one thay cost to much for that. my thing is i think we are being sucked in by thinking we have to go out and buy a new avr just to get the new auido format.when you can by a blu-ray player that can do all the decodeing like the one that is comeing out the panasoinc bd 50Audio processing is the most complex part of home theater.
