Anyone think Amazon Unbox will offer HD downloads soon?

Vudu seems to have some promise, but it requires you to purchase a $300 box that will allow you to do nothing other than download video. With Amazon/Tivo however you can get a Tivo box that is valuable in it's own right but also allows you to download video through Amazon. When/if Amazon adds HD movies to their download library, I will go out and buy a Tivo and start downloading movies from Amazon.

So, what do you think? Will Amazon offer HD downloads soon?

Not anytime soon is a real good guess. :)

It would be nice if they offered HD downloads soon. Since I have three Series 3 boxes and four TiVoHD boxes, it will always be nice to have another option for HD VOD.
