I've been working for the last couple of hours trying to get 5.1 sound back on my MacMini.

Movies ripped with Handbrake that would play in 5.1 in Quicktime are no longer doing it. I ripped a couple of new chapters and those don't play as well.

DVDs are still playing in 5.1.

I've uninstalled Perrian and reinstalled it. I've reinstalled quicktime. And gone through the 5 steps on that geekwithfamily webiste about three times.

Nothing seems to be working.

The only thing I can pin it on is I was trying out Sapphire last night and it kept crashing so I unistalled it. I had clicked enable AC3 passthrough on it before I deleted.

Any advice would be appreciated.

See if there's any prefs left over from Sapphire and delete those? And maybe delete all your prefs for Quicktime and start over. That's all I can suggest.
