I wasn't sure exactly which sub-forum to put this in. I tried searching and couldn't find the answer.

I have a question guys that is kind-of similar to this. I have a TWC HD DVR that is connected to my HDTV with component cables. I also ran an RF cable from the same box to the TV in my bedroom. Everything works this way. I was wondering if there was any way to get the remote to work from my bedroom? Is there some kind of sensor that I can buy and put somewhere in the bedroom to be able to switch channels without getting up to the box in the living room?

Thanks in advance guys.

There is a remote system which has a receiver and transmitter which communication wirelessly. The receiver picks up the IR from the remote and the transmitter sends IR to the DVR in your case. The receiver would be located in your bedroom and the transmitter in the livingroom. Radio shack carrys the system.

That system sold by Rat Shack works very well. I have been using 2 of them for over 10 years.
