I've searched for a few days and cannot find anyone with similar issues. If there's a thread out there, I apologize in advance.

My issue is this:
over the past few weeks I've started to notice that when I watch a recorded program or even pause tv and then resume play I get a horribly pixelated picture. If the program is recorded, then there's nothing I can do to "fix" the issue, but if it's live tv that I've paused for a few moments, I can fix the issue by returning to live tv.
I see this almost exclusively with standard definition programming. I've yet to notice it on HD programming, although I'm not 100% sure yet.

So, in summary- anything Standard Definition that isn't live will appear pixelated.

It's to the point that I won't even watch the show. I'm not talking about a "grainy" picture, I'm talking incredibly blurry and blocky.

I've altered nothing in my setup lately, other than adding a PS3 to the mix. But I did not change/ swap any cables on anything for the cable box or tv. I'm leaning towards this being a cable box issue, maybe software based.

My setup is as follows:
Sony Wega 42" 3LCD Rear projection TV (KDF-E42A10)
Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD Cable Box
Charter Cable (Chicopee, MA)
Denon DHT-487dv (HTiB) which all video runs through- except PS3
component cables for all devices, except PS3 uses HDMI.
all optical audio (not that it matters I think)

I think that I've described this as well as I can, and can't think of anything else pertinent. If anyone has any advice, information, questions, or answers, I'd love to hear from you.

Again, sorry if there's already a thread.
Thanks so much.
