I have a XBOX 360 without the HDMI slot, therefore it will only display in 1080i. Now does the add on HD DVD player have its own HDMI slot, or will I have to settle for 1080i through (blue, green, red)
wrong section- sorry

The XBOX HD DVD Add-on is simply a USB external drive. It contains nothing but a USB port on it. Your XBOX 360 is the only playing back HD movies and displaying them.

The drive also works when you plug it into a PC with WindowsXP or Vista. Granted you need playback software (AnyDVD HD gets my nod), but it's hard to beat for $50.

Just make sure your tv accepts a 1080p signal through VGA. Many tvs do not.
