Any German AVS'ers out there that can direct me to stores that sell HD-DVD in Koln? I hope to be traveling there near the end of the summer or early fall and I plan to look for HD-DVD imports while there. Hopefully HD-DVD titles will still be on the shelves at that time. Or I can get one of my wife's German business associates to pick up some titles when they are visiting the US.
Danke,
Brett

HD DVD supplies in retail stores here in Germany are already drying up, and I doubt that they will still be selling them by the end of summer. Better order the titles you want now, they may not be available much longer.
Generally, Saturn in Cologne is a good place for DVDs, CDs, and the like. It's the oldest and one of the largest Saturn markets in Germany.

Thanks Rigby. Is Saturn the big electronics store with a red and white sign?
Drink an extra Kolsch for me. I hope to try the ones that I missed if I am able to visit Koln again. I drank eight different types and I think that I have at least five more to go not counting any seasonal varieties of Kolsch.

One of our German friends has volunteered to pick up some titles for me and hold them for when we go back to Germany. He lives near a Media Mart and Saturn. Again thanks for the info, Rigby.

Again thanks for the info, Rigby.I was at Saturn just today. The HD DVD section keeps shrinking unfortunately, but there is still a reasonable number of titles available. Nonetheless, if you have friends in Germany, it may be cheaper to have them order from Amazon.de (possibly using their low-price guarantee) and then ship it to the US to avoid their horrendous international shipping fees.
Regarding the Koelsch, I'll have an extra one for you guys (or two). When it comes to beer, the US is really a developing country (although you have some fine micro breweries in some areas). :p
