This thread is strictly about the Coupon-eligible boxes with S-VIDEO outputs. Please report your pros/cons about each box.
I am especially interested in the sensitivity of these boxes (do they get more or fewer stations than the Zenith/Insignia units?).

Channel Master CM-7000
MaxMedia MMDTVB03

Fascinating.
;-) I guess nobody's bought or tried any of the listed S-video boxes. Maybe I'll be the first. Are any of these available yet?

I hear good things about Channel Master's antennas, but I wonder if their box is any good?
I live in a lousy market... even with the Zenith box I only get 7 stations. With the Hisense box, only 4. I hope the CM box is a better performer than the Hisense.

I have a Channel Master 4228 and yes it's properly "tuned" (although I'm not sure what you mean by that). Please see my signature.

This is what I found on this and I too am looking for a box that has S-video
The APEX looked good till I found out it has that stupid scan only channel problem. Input a know channel and if it did not scan that channel your SOL

That's pretty stupid........
It looks like this program is government run.
Give them a hammer and they still want to screw u!
There should have been better price locks.. most of them are way over the $40.00 and work like cra_
I've spent 3 hours on this search just finding one to buy..

Your right, the channel master is way overpriced. I would have purchased earlier today had they not been so greedy.
TY Roger for starting this topic. I've decided too that this is the one needed connector.
I have emails in with Apex about their DT250 release date.
S-Video, Smart Antenna, Pass-Trough

Apex: FWIW, per Wikipedia: Apex Digital (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apex_Digital)
Channel Master: Currently available see threads: #1 (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1004274) #2 (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1034056)
Data Action (http://www.data-action.com/shop/store/comersus_index.asp) @ $68.85+ship (but unclear if in-stock)
Given the apparently strong demand, I wouldn't be surprised if they follow suit with a price hike.
Stark Electronics (http://www.starkelectronic.com/cm7000.htm) is advertising them for $69.95 - and they take the coupons (but you have to call them at 508-756-7136 to use a coupon).
Maxmedia - Often reffered to as "vaporware" - see Maxmedia threads: #1 (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1003794&highlight=maxmedia), #2 (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1023326&highlight=maxmedia)

If you look closer at the page link you posted you'll see right above the very info you cited that a contradiction is on the same page.
Black "Availability: Shipping 6/2008"
Red "COMING SOON (Available August 2008)"
I asked them to clarify that

Kwel. I didn't know you saw that page. I think you as well as I would take the red lettering in bold type saying not available till August at its face value. Its another vaporware machine. I meant no insult!
I went dtv ota 3 years ago with a LG LST-4200a stb. My join date reflects that. I don't post much unless I can help...I also don't post into subjective/speculative threads outside my knowledge.
