I'm currently using a logitech Z-5500 system..reading through the forum it looks like I can do better. Will I get better audio with this setup? I 'm looking to spend $400 max

Polk CS1 center
Pair of Polk r150
Vx-10 Sub
Onkyo sr505 reciever

My system will mostly be used for listening to music on Itunes most of its encoded in 192 kbps. So will I hear mutch of a diffrence? I also use them on my 360 and upconverting dvd player. I assume I will hear a diffrence here?
I prefer a 2.1 setup too..is there any thing better I can get?

If you have a 3.1 set up listed, if you want a 2.1 ditch the center and spend the $ on better speakers. Make sure that you addition the set up first if you can, if not make sure that you can return it if you don't.

Hmm Oh yeah I don't have to buy the center, I guess I might just buy the 2 front ones first and a center in the future.

I still use the z series for my computer surround.
Doesn't the 5500 have a 10inch sub?

If so then the Logitech will sound miles better than the new setup you want to buy.

If most of your listening will be at 192 kbps 2.1 I'd throw a real equalizer (10 band - like a Teac) into the mix (yes, I know it's heresy :D).
