The Philips DVDR3576H/37 DVDR with 160GB HDD and NTSC/ATSC/QAM tuner is the successor to the 3575, which was introduced in 2007.
For info on either unit, see the Sticky thread here, which has 25 subjects of interest on features, setup and operation... (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=940657)

I checked the 3576 manual for any noticeable changes from the 3575.
3576 Model No. is E2H42UD.
3575 Model No. is E2H40UD.
3576 appears to be black?
3575 is silver & black.
Other than those, no other noticeable difference. Maybe an updated FW package to distinguish it from the 3575's FW, maybe in number only... won't know till some users get their hands on one and report something?
I checked Table of Contents, Features, Specs and all were identical, even page numbers in TOC. Perused several other pages and no noticeable difference in text, position, etc.

Sounds like that's all there is to it here.

So far, that's about right.
Have to wait for an operational comparison. I'd like to see if they might have a faster high-speed burn for dubs, and maybe some titling for timer programs and/or recorded titles. I would surely supsect they've incorporated the hdwe fix for the digital tuner to eliminate "analog interference" on cable since they were already making that fix on "replacement" units. :)

Well, you're right on the program titling... it's shown as the same as the 3575.
Nothing mentioned (as before) about dub speeds except the std "12 times the SLP mode" (30 minutes for 6-hr SLP title). So, prob. means no change there either.

I did a automated comparison of the DVDR3576H/37 user manual with the manual for the DVDR3575H/37. The differences in the manuals are trivial and very few. This shows the two machines are functionally identical, to the extent that functionality is described in the manuals.
This comparison only covers text in the manuals not graphics. The two documents compared were:
3575 User Manual with last PDF edit date 6/26/07
3576 User Manual with last PDF edit date 2/20/08
Page 1:
The words "User Manual" were removed.
This note was added: Register your product and get support at www.philips.com (http://www.philips.com).Page 4, "Declaration of Conformity":
Philips company name was listed slightly differently.
A PO box was added to the address.Page 40, "Make Recording Compatible":
In the first paragraph the word "menu" was changed to the word "list" to get: the title list is automatically converted to our style.Page 60, "Finalizing a Disc":
This text was added to Step 1: If you are in the title list, you need to exit from the list by pressing [STOP C] before you are able to access the main menu.
In the shaded text box under the image of the remote control, this text was added under the word "Note": During recording to the HDD, "Disc Edit" menu cannot be accessed.
There were a few changes to the warranty.
In the section titled "What is covered":
Changed from "if a defect arises and…" to "if a defect in material or workmanship occurs and…"In the section titled "What is Not Covered- Exclusions and Limitations":
In the third paragraph beginning "This warranty does not apply…", inserted the word "neglect" between "misuse" and "misapplication."In the section titled "This Limited Warranty does not cover":
In item 2 inserted "signal source" to get: …and installation or repair of antenna/signal source systems outside of the product.
In item 3 inserted "maintenance" to get: Product repair and/or part replacement because of improper installation or maintenance…
In item 3 removed the words "abuse, neglect, misuse, accident."
In item 3 this text was inserted: ...power line surge, lightning damage, retained images or screen markings resulting from viewing fixed stationary content for extended periods, product cosmetic appearance items due to normal wear and tear...
Changed item 5 from "Damage occurring to product during shipping" to "Damage from mishandled shipments or transit accidents when returning product to Philips."
