Fire up my broken blue pad drum set so I can bang away at the songs...only to find out that a majority of the songs are blue heavy :mad: ...check (doesn't matter though...the pack is awesome!!!).

The only caution I would give to anyone looking to pick this up...if you buy the downloaded version, you can only play on one account (as opposed to the disc version, which can be played on multiple accounts).

Yeah..thats the bummer with the DL version. I bought the disc, but it wouldn't have mattered to me. No one else in my household plays it.

I think ill be downloading this pack when i get home. I was just listenin to samples of all the songs on Bostons website. I know most of them. Seeing as I'm only 24 these songs are all oldies but i remember them from growing up so it should be a good time playing them. :D

I agree with so's your face. Their updates suck. I don't care about paid content and add-ons. I want demos and they barely ever do them anymore. We should be seeing at least several decent new demo games every week. After demos, great HD trailers would be the next best thing. And on both of these fronts, they suck.

i was kidding... i actually think they do a d@mn fine job of updating the store. i think some people would only be happy if the PS store could give back rubs and foot massages, but then they'd still complain about the lack of "happy endings". :p

heck, this week we got a free map pack for UT3 and free video chat support for HS: poker as well as the boston pack for RB and about 4 million karaoke songs! it may not suit everyone, but i'd call that that a homerun update. lump flow in there and it's pushing the limits of the divine!:D

Yeah....bummer. R-types is available from Hong Kong (which I am in the process of acquiring through a HK PSN card). Have you seen the price of R-types or R-type Delta original PS1 discs? DAMN! R-types fetches $30+ while Delta easily gets $65-$90. For a 12 year old used game? Crazy? Release it on PSN please!

I just grabbed a PS1 disc of Thunder Force 5...that should hold me over for a while. There's a classic gaming convention in my area this weekend so I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a cheap copy of one (or more) of the R-type series.

Obviously peole have not seen what is on xbl marketplace. PS store is a joke compared to it. I dont even go to the Ps store but about once a month, and even at that, not much new content. If the PS could get even half the stuff xbl marketplace I would be happy. And no I do not own a 360, I get to the all the neat stuff at my neighbors.

I never joined the network for the PS2. For that matter, I never bothered getting a PS2 and kept my PS1 and waited to skip a generation. I paid for a new generation where networked content was supposed to be more central to the offering. And the ability to download the demos was the second biggest factor in buying after the ability to play Blu Ray's. To date I have bought 2 games for the PS3 and about 20 Blu-ray's.

And they were promising when you talked to their reps at trade shows or read interviews to seriously ramp up their network from what it was at the time, implying things would get better not worse (and given that the 360 was already doing better, there was no reason to expect it was impossible or "unreasonable"). They also promised that the reason I would need an 80 gig unit was because they were going to start offering downloadable movies and other new network content that would be more storage intensive. Eight months later, I am still waiting and the rate of new full demos has slowed significantly. So why are my expectations "unreasonable"?

BTW, I am not one of those who complains weekly about the network update. Seach my posts. I don't think I ever have commented on this before yesterday.

I was really excited about the UT3 add-on and I hope that Epic continues to give us official packs in the future.

The whole process of adding individual maps to this game is such a hassle that it has completely turned me off to adding fan made content. I see no reason why a bunch of maps can't be condensed into one file and installed in one shot. It obviously was done with this latest add-on.
Instead we have to download one, install it, download another, install it, etc., etc. Quite time consuming if there are say 50 maps out there.

C Dub...not exactly correct. If you don't have Gold..ie $50, you have to wait for a period of time before you can get the "new" demo's.

For everyone else, I would suggest that if your not satisfied with the content on the psn, start a thread and title it something along the lines of "ps3 content sucks this week...opinions wanted"...that way I can avoid all the fussing and bitching all together.

It's interesting to see the "video game approach" to DLC that GHIII/KR are taking vs. the "music platform" approach RB (and possibly SingStar, albeit to a lesser extent) are taking. Of course we won't get a chance to see what SingStar is doing for another month or two at best, but based on reports from the other side of the pond it is probably somewhere inbetween.

I wonder what the announced DLC sales figures for RB will be by the time SingStar comes out...

maybe it has been mentioned before but why can't they a psp emulator on the ps3 so you can play psp games on the ps3??
