I was wondering if anyone else has Digital Cable offered by Time Warner Cable.
I have all the movie channels but keep getting tiling problems every now and then. A tech came out on Monday and said that there was nothing wrong with any of my connections or the cable box.
I recorded a movie yesterday and it tiled twice when I was watching it.
I had digital cable for almost a year before I started having problems. All the wiring has been replaced inside and out and I have a brand new cable box but I still get problems.
Besides tiling, the picture pauses for a few seconds and I can't hear the sound for a few seconds.
I'm getting tired of paying money to the cable company for a product that sucks!!!!
I would switch to satellite but I live in San Diego and if I did I wouldn't be able to get the Padre channel 4. I checked with the satellite companies and they can't get that channel and the don't offer sports packages (to watch Padre games).
I guess I'm going to have to cancel my digital cable but what's going to
happen when Feb 2009 rolls around and they stop broadcasting analog????

I've had TWC for years in Los Angeles. Never had this problem.

Be persistent with them.

You'll either need a TV with a digital/ATSC tuner or one of the converter boxes if you want your existing TV to work (assuming it's tuner is the old NTSC analog.) And a good pair of rabbit ears.

Also, is Verizon's FIOS an option?

Thanks for the info!!!! I called the cable company today and they said my DVD recorder is causing the tiling problem because everything looks good on their end. They told me to watch LIVE tv instead of what I recorded and if I see the problem doing that then they will do something about it.
