Not sure where to post this, but . . .
I want to hang four bookshelf speakers in my open-beam, ceilinged living room. Because of the odd (and high) ceiling angles, I'd like to suspend the speakers from steel cable. Anyone know where to source steel cable (or other metal) with those adjustable eyelet things on the end? Thanks.

I've seen this for sale @ Home Depot/Lowe's. I would look for a link on their site but I wouldn't even know what to call it....

It's stainless steel and I've used it in display situations for various clients Try these:

I know this is an old thread, and maybe there is a newer one regarding this topic, but oh well. I am working on some ideas for suspending speakers and I have checked out the sites referred to in this thread. My question is, when using things such as aircraft cable or wire cable of some type, how do you "disguise" the speaker wire coming down the cable?

If you are creative you could actually use the steel cables as the speaker wires. The purists will say ******** you need copper. But, as long as this isn't and audiophile set-up it should work. If both ends are screwed to wood or other none conductive materials you just need to connect to the cables at both ends with some kind of clamps or solder.
Just think of those 12v lighting systems that hang from two steel cables to understand the concept.

You could also use PVC as a kind of sleeve with the cable and speaker wire running through it. You can paint the PVC to blend or contrast with the rest of the room.
LEVEL4, how did this go? do you have any pictures?
I've used a lot of steel wire in my loft and if I want a decent placement of my surrounds I'll need to suspend them.
