sony sxrd 60 a series with stand $1600 model is al120, believe the tv is a kdfa2020 (black casing)

it is between that and a mitsubishi 57 inch 57774 for $1599 including 3 year warranty, I liked that it was more picture less casing.

I bought a display from bjs (sony wegae2000) last week and realized how old it really was and now have green blob on it and its only 720p but only paid 750 for it, considering taking it back and getting something more up to date (like 1080p and a dig tuner), it is between those to above.

please help, want to buy first thing this weekend...or should i keep this tv since only paid 700 and let them repair it? seems outdated tecnology plus in 5 days had hdmi inputs fail and a green blob mark develop, sticker says 2006 on back, must of been at store for long time, lamp time was reset.

also my couch is 9 feet from tv, is 60 to big? right now with the 50 it feels like a spotlight on me, however that may just be an adjustment

The A2020 is an A2000 in a different housing (purely cosmetic). You can read the A2000 owners thread here (although it is long). I don't think the A2000 have had too many problems, and it will be a great set.

For the money you may do better looking for the newer A3000. They are extremely hard to find. I don't think you will go wrong with the A2020, but I don't think that price is the best of deals (it isn't the worst either).

EDIT: I didn't see that it came with a stand. That isn't bad.

found out for sure it is a KDS-60A2020...and as I said with a stand, $1599 might go with that

Also to add, a local tv store has an a3000 50" for $1499 including a 3 year warranty...but it is a floor model..kind of scared of a display model now since my most recent tv nightmare, just trying to figure out how much better the a3000 is than a a2020 , the a2020 at bjs will give me 10 more inches of viewing for only a hundred dollars more and is new.
