My wife likes to start in one room watching a movie then will finish in the bed room. Its getting annoying bringing the movie with us and trying to find the exact point at which we were in the bedroom.
My question is: What equipment do I need to pause the movie in one room and transmit the signal to another room? Currently I am using a PS3 for Blu-Ray and VSX-84 Pio Elite receiver. What else do I need to achieve this. It will be easy to run any cables through the basement as its unfinished and our master bedroom is on the 1st floor.
Thank you for your time in advance.

What type of connection do you have currently attached to the TV in the "one room", the first room?
If its HDMI or component (green, red, blue for video), do you also have composite (yellow, red, white for video and audiu) outputs available on the PS3 that will output at the sametime as the component/HDMI. If so then get a long composite cable from monoprice on the cheap and run it to the master bedroom.
IF you have an HD TV in your master bedroom then you can probably get an HDMI splitter and run HDMI from the basement to the master bedroom.

Also go searching in the Home A/V Distribution & Networking forum, lots of great info about whole house distribution and such. Lots of options in the low budget area as well as high-end options.
I run everything via HDMI currently and running that to the bedroom would not be a problem. Any suggestion on HDMI splitters? Will I lose any signal quality with this? Thank you again for your time, I look forward to making my wife happy!
Most HDMI splitters have a built in booster. Most newer HDTV's will have more then one HDMI port so just set up the other displays to like port 2. Then you can stay watching your movie where you begain watching it and the wife can watch in what ever room she moves too. All she has to do is switch to port 2 and enjoy the rest of the show. running the cables to all your displys could be fun though :)
Do a google search for HDMI splitter booster and use monoprice for all your cables. The prices for splitters is all over the place so dig around to find the best price

Hmmmmm.....so if your in bedroom how would you actually access the dvd player in the other room? I am sure you probably select whatever input you plugged into on the TV to get the picture but what if you needed to pause or rewind a scene then what? I had thought about this for my house but my theater will be in the basement and my master bedroom is 2 floors up. To far for a universal remote to work.
