View Full Version : JBL ES250, Velodyne CHT-12R or AT T90? mjct6210 03-29-08, 01:51 PM guys which of these subs will you recommend? this is all i can afford and the ones available locally in my area. any feedback will be highly appreciated. thanks. bsheldon 03-30-08, 02:03 PM Unless you are gettting an amazing deal on any of those subs (less than $200) I wouldn't get any of those. I have heard probalby all of JBL's lower end subs, as well as the CHT-12R (dls-4000r) from velodyne. None are "great" but if you are building a modest system they will do the job. Again, you can probably get better by buying online. If you have an aversion to that, then I suggest you go listen to the three of them on the same system in the same location in the same room. Determine which one you like like the best and buy it. However, for $200 you can have either of a pair of nice subs that get recommended all the time--the Acoustech H-100 or av123 x-sub. Arguably, tHe H-100 has more bang, but the x-sub is more musical. I hope this helps. |
