I will also be getting the 1300w and eq with it. I live in an apartment since im in college. Will this thing get loud enough to be heard on the first floor? Im on the 3rd floor. How does this compare in terms of db compared to the JBL - 12" 500-Watt Powered Subwoofer? That was my first subwoofer.

Whoa, building composition, layout, size, noise floor, ect... all plays a HUGE part in if that sub will be heard or not. I would likely say no because you'll have two floors and a huge air space between them. I doubt the first floor will get pressurized enough to hear anything. Now, maybe on a quiet night at 4am with no equipment running (low noise floor) someone may hear faint traces of things rattling above them and maybe even some rumbles, but it shouldn't be too bad.

Your neighbors on the third floor and the one below/above you will hate you though!

Have you looked into the Epic and AV123 offerings?

from first hand experience...you'll enjoy this sub and pretty much any level...i havent heard the other offerings, but you cant go wrong with this sub. its awesome with music and can scare the crap out of you with movies (esp. with multiples :) ).

either way looney is right, your neighbors around will not be your biggest fans! but you will certainly be quite happy!
