Hi,
I have a KDS-R60XBR1 and it is out of commission.
For a while the TV would not power on sometime. Until finally the TV would just not power on at all.
The screen comes on for about 5 seconds and then turns itself off and the standby light starts blinking.
I had circuit city send a repair guy who was a complete idiot. He took the chassis out of the TV and kept it for 3 months and finally I got Circuit city to replace the unit with a KDL52XBR4.
Well, the repairman never did get around to fixing the TV and brougt back the Chassis to me and it is unhooked and is not fixed. I have a feeling it is a small problem because when it did finally need repair the screen would come on for a few seconds and just shut itself off. The TV had the optical block/light engine replaced about a year ago so I don't think it is the optical block.
Instead of having to take this TV to a repair person again, I was wondering if I could just buy an entire used chassis from somewhere?

Does anyone know where I can find a KDSR50/60XBR1 (KDSr50XBR1 and KDSR60XBR1 have the same chassis) used chassis or buy one that has a cracked screen or something?

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I would like to put the chassis back in the TV but there are so many wires to hook up and i can't figure it out.
Does anyone know where I could find a wiring diagram for hooking the chassis back up??
Thanks so much.

I don't think u are able to find a broken XBR1 anytime soon. Even if it's not working, the owner will try to fix it. It's an expensive TV.
