I have an Australian XA2 or XE1 as it's known here, and I want to update to version 2.7, but the Toshiba website here does not list version 2.7 as an option, only 2.5 and 2.8. I have been told NOT to install V2.8 as there are some seroius problems with it.

Does anyone know if the XA2 and the XE1 updates are compatible and if so, can the American 2.7 XA2 update be loaded onto the Australian XE1?

If not, does anyone know if there are any negatives with updating to version 2.5??? i currently have V1.3 and have some audio issues I want to resolve.
