Hi @. I'm well into the build phase of my dedicated room, and I'm still not 100% decided on how to acoustically treat the walls. First of all, here are some images of the room...

And here's a quick & dirty image showing what's going where...

Now, I'm obviously treating the whole screen wall with 1" duct liner, and denser rockwool behind the speakers in the corners, that's simple enough. The question I have is for the walls/ceiling towards the seats. At the moment, I'm thinking of treating the dwarf walls either side of the room with the same 1" duct liner (the blue scribble), and leaving the sloping ceilings alone (simply covered in black velvet for low light reflectivity, but no acoustic treatment).

I'd appreciate any opinions on whether the treatment of the 2ft high wall will be enough to be of reasonable benefit, or whether I should be looking at treating the sloping ceiling as well, which will obviously add to the complexity somewhat. Cheers!

I was just about to post the same type of question. I have a very similarily shaped room and was thinking along the same lines as you. I was also wondering about placement of the surround speakers, place them on the angled walls pointing down towards the audience? What were you going to do?

Well, I have tripole surrounds, so placement is fairly flexible & I was going to go with trial & error once everything else is set up. At the moment though, I'm thinking of mounting them at the ends of the horizontal beam behind the first row of seats (see image above). This may compromise row 2, but those won't be used very often.
