I've noticed 2 problems with my sammy.
1. I own a HL-S5687W and I've noticed that if I turn on the tv with a resolution (on any of my components) of 1080i, then change the resolution to something like 480i/p or 720p, and then change the resolution back to 1080i, the "new" 1080i looks much better (more defined) than when I started out with it at 1080i. This is very aggravating.
I contacted Samsung via email and they said to call in.
2. I've noticed that when I change any inputs (with my remote) HDMI1 to component 1 (etc..), the component specific visual settings (contrast, brightness, etc..) don't always get applied. Sometimes, the visual settings from HDMI1 are kept with component1. However, when I view the component specific visual settings, the settings appear to be set correctly, but you can clearly see it has inherited the settings from the previous input. To remedy this, I have to go into my TV settings and reapply the visual settings for that component. Very annoying.
Any suggestions for how to fix these?
