ok, so I recently got rogers digital cable and the signal was very weak, so I got a booster to boost the signal and it worked fine....now, approx. 1 month later, I have these verticle rolling lines on the screen.....sometimes they are faint,sometimes they are more obvious.....

they are only when watching TV though, when I switch to an input, it is all clear...so this leads me to think it is something wrong with the cable signal?

would you think it would be the amplifier (signal booster)? Or maybe the coaxial cable? tv? etc....I don't think it is the TV though because I have the signal split after the booster....one goes to TV, other goes to DVD Recorder and both the DVD recorder and the TV get the lines.....

Is it a Sony?

This may be a grounding issue. Check to see that the cable shield is grounded. The booster or splitter may have a ground lug that can be grounded to a water pipe or other known ground. You might also try bypassing any cable surge protector you may be using.
