I've been searching a while for a SACD player with multi-channel output, for sub-$1000. The Marantz DV7001 fits that criteria, though it throws in DVD and upscaling capabilities to boot. I love Marantz's products, and this shouldn't be any different, but I haven't read much about it. I'm wondering if anyone here has either demoed the player or even has a link to a review or two.

I have the Marantz DV 7600 and am quite pleased. If I had to gripe about something, it would be the manual.Trying to find out how to get SACD to play multi channel was an adventure. Searching forums I finally came across a thread in which it was addressed.I If I remember correctly it was in a Euoropean site where I found it.
There is very little info on any Marantz DVD player from my experence searching.
I had switched from a Cambridge Audio 540 D, which by the way I would never recomend to anybody.
